Micro and small businesses are at the center of Hartford's economic well-being. With almost no big brand franchises and stores crowding the city, the community in Hartford relies heavily on its local businesses for its everyday needs. From food trucks, cafes, and restaurants serving international flavors, to bodegas, bookstores, and beauty salons, Hartford has it all!

For years, Upper Albany Main Street has worked tirelessly to support small business owners thrive in the Upper Albany neighborhood. The non-profit's Entrepreneurial Center offers one of the only Digital Literacy Training programs in Connecticut, specifically geared towards helping local businesses increase their online presence. At their Technology Lab, small business owners learn to use a wide range of digital tools to strengthen their operations, and promote their businesses.
